BTR’s Vice President and Director of Research, Dr. Reinhardt Rosson, will speak on the value of a predictive understanding, or systems biology, for small biotech companies using microbes to produce fine chemicals. His talk is part of the Industrial and Environmental Track at the Biotechnology Industry Organization’s annual international convention being held June 19-22, 2005. Dr. Rosson is scheduled to speak on Tuesday afternoon as part of a DOE-sponsored session explaining how their Genomics:GTL program aims to build on a comprehensive and predictive understanding of microbial systems important to energy, environment, and climate.
