MANITOWOC, WI, November 30, 2000 — Bio-Technical Resources is pleased to announce that Tom Jerrell has agreed to join BTR as its new president. He brings with him a wealth of experience in research, manufacturing, and business development.
Jerrell left his post at BTR's parent company, DCV, Inc., to join BTR in developing and commercializing its proprietary technologies. As Vice President, BioNutritional Ingredients, he successfully managed DCV's choline and chitosan businesses. Jerrell also has headed laboratory teams on such diverse projects as developing new processes for glucosamine and betaine, and several new products, including a potential anti-cancer treatment now in NIH-sponsored clinical trials, and an efficacious nutritional supplement targeted for circulatory system and weight loss indications. Before joining DCV, he optimized manufacturing processes and reduced production costs at several of Du Pont's US chemical manufacturing sites. While at Du Pont, he also played a key role in new product process development.
